Our most popular tour! The Arenal Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Americas. From our observation point, you will feel the ground tremble and see the night sky explode with ash and lava in a natural display of fireworks. Next, we will visit the hot springs of the volcano, where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. 02- Combo tour: Doka Coffee plantation, Poás Volcano, and La Paz Waterfall Gardens :

The  first stop is breakfast at a Doka Coffee Plantation,  where you will be able to enjoy an authentic Costa Rican style breakfast. We will then take you to a third-generation coffee plantation and show you how coffee is picked, milled, ground, and roasted. 
Once you’ve found out first hand, or cup, why Costa Rica is known for its coffee,we will continue to Poás Volcano. This volcano is one of the actives volcanoes in Costa Rica. The crystal blue sulfur pools will amaze you along with the steam rising from the various volcanic vents.
The last stop is La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Your tour guide will take you through the butterfly observatory, the hummingbird garden and the waterfall trails. After your hike you will enjoy a buffet lunch in the restaurant with view to the waterfalls.
As you wander the trails of La Paz Waterfall Gardens your senses will delight at the five waterfalls that line the trail.
The Butterfly garden is one of the largest in the world reaching heights of 50 feet, this enclosed structure allows butterflies to soar freely while guests walk amid the natural habitat.

The trip begins ascending the breathtaking summit of the Irazu Volcano for a view of the massive crater. On a clear day you can actually see the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans! After an exciting tour at the volcano, we will descend to the historical city of Cartago. Here we will visit the mysterious ruins of the old Parish and view the beautiful Basilica of our "Virgen de los Angeles" with rich displays of carvings, statues and art.
After our visit to the Basílica de Los Angeles we will drive to the Lankester Gardens. Leaving San José, we will head towards the Pacific coast along the old Spanish route that has been in use since 1606. Along the way we´ll stop briefly to enjoy a delicious traditional Costa Rican breakfast. Once we reach our destination we´ll take a jungle boat tour that goes along the Tarcoles River. Our guide will introduce you to the world of crocodiles and exotic birds.
After the boat tour we´ll arrive at one of the most beautiful protected areas around, Punta Leona Beach Resort. This exotic paradise is surrounded by 750 acres of lush tropical rainforest, pristine white sand beaches and the blue water of the Pacific Ocean. You´ll have the day at leisure with plenty of time to enjoy the activities offered by the resort, including water sports, swimming in the crystal clear water of the ocean or simply relaxing by the pool. We begin our experience , driving through the unforgettable rain forest of Braulio Carrillo National Park, one of the most important rainforest reserves of Costa Rica. Then we will be ready to enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the Sarapiqui River, just sit back and observe the wildlife that is around you. The monkeys , iguanas, crocodiles and the variety of birds will allow you to relax and concentrate on the scenery. During the boat ride our guide will also explain about life style of the friendly people that live at the river margins.

As we continue our experience, we will walk at Selva Verde’s eco lodge property which is heaven for nature enthusiasts, hikers, bird and wildlife watchers, scientists and students, as well as adventure seekers. Nestled in the North-Central Lowlands of Costa Rica, Selva Verde’s private reserve protects over 500 acres of primary and secondary rainforest. The rainforest surrounding Selva Verde provides habitat for many species such as: 300 birds , 120 mammals, 48 amphibians, 89 reptile species, more than 10,000 species of insects, 330 species of trees and countless plantses. Costa Rica is home of 5% of the world’s known species.
After lunch we will continue to famous Rainforest Aerial Tram , a sanctuary which shelters an eco-touristic and research park unlike any in the world... . The Rain Forest Aerial Tram – Atlantic is a 475-hectare (1,200-acre) private reserve, it shares a 10 km border with Braulio Carrillo National Park and constitutes a buffer zone between the park and the farming lands.
The park´s multiple gateways take you to each unique rainforest dimension: flights above the canopy treetop, guided nature hikes for all levels of physical ability, a multi-colored Frog and Butterfly Garden, a serpentarium and bird watching.

13.- Adventure combo

Costa Rica offers different kinds of white water rafting where the adrenaline shoots to the limit and fascinating Canopy tours up from the top of the trees.  Now you can enjoy both activities combined in a single tour.  Discover the natural wonders of Sarapiqui, a large territory located in the northern part of the country, with crystalline rivers, abundant scenic beauty and towns full of hard-working and friendly people. As we depart from San Jose we cross the Braulio Carrillo National Park arriving to Sarapiqui. Here both adventure attractions can be enjoyed: the Canopy Tour in the middle of the forest with high altitude trees and then Rafting in the waters of the Sarapiqui River. After this you can enjoy lunch. The Canopy tour lasts one and a half hour, because you slide throw ten cables of different lengths and twelve platforms inside the forest. Rafting on the Sarapiqui River on class II and class III rapids allows seeing a vibrant landscape for those who wish to enjoy this exciting activity. A group of unexpected rapids combined with slow relaxing stretches along 9-mile distance will make this an unforgettable experience for birdwatchers and nature lovers alike.

14.- Tortuguero National Park (one day)

Depart from San José accompained by your bilingual naturalist guide.
Driving first past coffe plantations, we'll head into the mountains of Braulio Carrillo National Park where steep slopes are covered with thick cloud forest and beatiful waterfalls can be seen from the road.
Just after Braulio Carrillo National Park, we stop for a typical Costa Rican breakfast, fresh fruit, coffee, eggs and the popular gallo pinto. Following breakfast, we continue to a Banana Plantation, where we visit a Banana Packing Plant. Your guide will explain the process of growing and exporting tha fruit.
We later abandon our bus and embark on the most exiting part of this tour: the boat trip into the jungle on the Caribbean Canals to the world famous Tortuguero National Park.
We will enjoy a hearty, typical lunch to please the hungriest of appetites.
After lunch we will take a tour to Tortuguero Town where you will have a chance to interact with the local people as you walk on the beach.
Returning to the bus, we head back to San José, making a rest stop along the way and arriving around 6:30pm
